Fillings are a vital part of dentistry preventing potential tooth loss.  When your tooth shows signs of decay we can prevent any further damage being caused.  Fillings are used to restore your tooth back to its normal shape and prevent any further decay. A filling may be required due to dental decay or trauma. It is important to address it as soon as possible to avoid pain and further treatment.

We use white composite fillings which create a natural appearance and blend to your tooth colour.  White fillings have a strong bond to your tooth which means less tooth structure needs to be removed and less drilling is needed for preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The tooth will be numbed using local anaesthetic. On some occasions fillings can be carried out without any local anaesthetic, especially if they do not require removal of decay.  The old filling will be removed along with the decay, a new white filling is then placed in layers. The filling will be smoothed and polished to finish.

White fillings set immediately so you can eat and drink straight away. If local anesthetic has been used you need to be careful not to drink anything too hot or to bite your tongue when eating.

We ask for the treatment to be paid per appointment however we do offer interest free finance on dental treatment over £600.  Our friendly reception team can give you more details on payment plans.
