About Service

Orthodontics has come a long way in the past few years and we are now straightening teeth faster and more discreetly than ever before. Lingual fixed braces involve bonding metal brackets to the back of your teeth so it is completely invisible from the front.

Lingual braces provide an effective teeth straightening option to those who do not want to have a mouth full of obvious metal wires and brackets. The positioning of the lingual brace on the back surface of the teeth makes it possible for the treatment to be carried out without anyone knowing. This type of brace is excellent for correcting teeth that are overcrowded, closing unwanted spaces or aligning teeth that are rotated or protruding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the frequently asked questions

Will the brace hurt?

Getting the brace fitted is a completely painless procedure. You may experience slight discomfort for a few days after as your teeth and tongue get used to the brace. A soft diet is recommended for the first few days. Your dentist will give you advice on aftercare.

Will it affect my speech?

It will take a few days for your tongue to adjust to the brace but once it gets used to it it should not affect your speech.

How long will the treatment take?

The length of treatment is something that can only be determined by your dentist as it will depend on the severity of your problems. Usually treatment takes around 6 to 18 months. Sometimes the case will need to be finished with clear removable aligners.
