About Service

Traditional fixed metal braces use metal brackets combined with metal wires and silver elastics. Although these are not invisible, traditional braces are still quite widely used due to their versatility and effectiveness. The use of brackets enables the dentist to precisely reposition the teeth in ways that aren't always possible with more modern systems, providing you with the best possible results.

Fixed metal braces can treat most orthodontic problems, including issues with occlusion or the way the teeth bite together. They can be used to close gaps between teeth, to correct teeth that are rotated or protrusive, or teeth which are crooked due to overcrowding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the frequently asked questions

How often will I need an appointment?

An appointment will be required every 4 to 6 weeks to monitor the progress and adjust the brace. Slight discomfort can be expected after each appointment.

Will the teeth move after the treatment is finished?

After any orthodontic treatment the teeth will always want to move back once the brace is removed. To avoid this happening we provide a bonded permanent retainer and a removable retainer to wear at night. Retention is so important and is a commitment for life to ensure the teeth don't relapse.

Do I have to pay upfront?

We offer different payment options to allow you to spread the cost of orthodontic treatment so you will never had to pay upfront. We do usually ask for an inital deposit or alternatively we offer interest free finance. You will be given a bespoke treatment plan detailing payment options after your intial consultation.
